Seasons of the Year

The Theme:  Choose a SEASON
Your challenge is to create a quilt themed with at least one of our annual seasons.  Here are some ideas:  "Winter Wonderland", "Spring Forward", "Dog Days of Summer", or "Autumn's Harvest Moon".
Go wild and design a quilt that showcases all four of the seasons.  Or, step outside of the box and choose a holiday "season".
However you do it, make a quilt that says
it is a special time of the year!!!

The fabric:  A Batik!
Your additional challenge is to include a batik fabric.  You can use as many batiks as you want as long as one can be clearly seen on the quilt's front surface.  A little or a lot, it's up to you.

The Rules
1.  Make a quilt using your interpretation of the theme
and fabric above.

2. No side of the quilt may be more than 44 inches in length,
nor less than 24 inches in length.

3. The quilt must be completed and available to hanging at our May 2010 general meeting (and preferably for the
quilt show later that year).

4. Quilts should have a 3-4 inch sleeve (temporary okay) and a label.

5. You must be a member in good standing of the 
NVQG to participate.
